Together with conservators from other disciplines we are working on the contents of a dollhouse of The Historical Museum of The Hague. We do the conservation of the books, works of art on paper and furniture with leather upholstery. The conservation of the dollhouse itself, including the wallpaper and paper floor coverings, already have been completed in 2013.
The tiny books for the dollhouse are printed in readable text and there’s even a mini book with original watercolors inside and a readable newspaper. The conservation techniques we use are the same as those we apply in the “big” books.
